Daniel Schandorff Rochester, Minn Accident: State Patrol Identifies Victim in Fatal Highway 63 Crash – The Minnesota State Patrol has identified Daniel Victor Schandorff, 48, of Stewartville, as the man killed in a traffic crash Thursday night near the Rochester airport.
Schandorff was driving a van north on Highway 63 when it collided with a northbound semi-truck around 9:45 p.m., near the intersection with 80th Street Southeast.
According to the State Patrol, Schandorff was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. The semi-truck driver, 55-year-old Jack Lieffort of Grand Meadow, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured. Authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing as troopers continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
